I've gotten several emails asking , how much should I pay to have my condo/house cleaned ? Or How can you give me a price with out looking at my place. Well here is a rule of thumb when searching for the right person to clean house.

A good question to ask is " how long will u be in my home" usually a good housekeeper can clean a 2bdr 2bath in 3 hours that does very from house to house, meaning some are a little neater than others which is ok. If your house keeper stays over 3hrs, consider how much was done if they moved slow or if they did extra things ie: clean under the fridge. How much should you pay ? 30-45$ and when broken down its about 10-15$ per hour. Most housekeepers try to get several houses in the same general area so they can charge 10$ per hour if your housekeeper is traveling to your home and your the only house in the area the increase in price is because of the gas prices raising. So ask a neighbor or recommend your housekeeper and this will save you a few dollars and help out a good housekeeper. Also keep all cleaning products on hand or pay your housekeeper to buy them for your home and they stay at your home. If you still feel you are being over charged call a company like molly maids and have them come out and give you an estimate. Now because they have a larger overhead their price will be higher but you can use that as a guide when looking for independent housekeepers. Well I hope this shines a little light on your situation.
