I love setting up activities to keep the kids busy and entertained. I enjoy taking them on outings to the park, play areas, etc. Picnics seem to be my specialty! But movies with pj's and popcorn can be a lot of fun too.
If you need me for just a night while you go out and enjoy yourself, that's fine with me. If you need something on a regular basis, that's fine with me too! Whatever you want/need, I'm up for it.

I am a single mom of 3 amazing blessings from heaven, with my youngest, who is 4, that is still at home with me. I am looking to fill 2 full-time and 1 part-time places within my home for children who's families are looking for a positive, nurturing and Christ centered environment for their child(ren) during the day. Children ages 3-5, who are not yet in kindergarten, and are fully potty trained, for the most part. :)

I have been a home-school mom and teacher within the private and home-school sector for almost 12 years and children of all ages and teaching are my passions. I am CPR and First Aid Certified. I offer a faith based pre-k curriculum as well as a very positively structured activity schedule throughout the day (Hands on, painting, storytime, poetry, games, songs, arts & crafts, computer learning, sign language, playdough, etc.) Home cooked breakfast and lunch, as well as 2 snacks are provided throughout the day.

My hours and rates are determined on a family need and income basis. I want to be of help to other single moms such as myself.

As you can see, the hours are more jumpy monday through thursday because i have class, but the added bonus is i am free for the entire weekend including friday. I thought this might be useful especially to families who are just looking for the occasional help in the afternoon or date night.
I love kids and have been watching and playing with them for years. I like to let kids be themselves and be I think its good for them to be curious and interested, to get outside and explore. I love doing creative stuff with kids like art projects and cooking. i have a strong philosophy on using peaceful and effective tactics with children , and i dont condone any type of violence. I think kids are funny and a great part of life. Ive watched children for dozens of families in barton hills and the surrounding area where i grew up. Ide love to meet your family too!
